Day 1: Departure - Arrival Seattle, Wa

Welcome to one of the most beautiful cities in the US; Seattle, Washington, which is easy to remember
because of its recognizable horizon that includes the Space Needle and the giant volcano “Mount Rainier”.

When all tour participants have arrived, we meet for a welcome meeting and refreshments, with
introductions. We cover information about your Canada Tour & your stay in Seattle. We also cover practical information & preparations regarding mc and car rental checkout. The evening’s program is about getting to know each other, and we eat dinner together in true American style.

2

Day 2: Seattle

(Explorer &  fun day)

We start the day with an info meeting covering information about your Canadian Rockies Tour. We also cover practical information & preparations regarding mc and car rental checkout. Afterward, we enjoy a stroll down the famous Seattle waterfront, a ferry or a Duck boat tour on Elliot Bay, an “Underground tour” to explore the tunnels in Seattle’s underground, visit the Space Needle or the Jimi Hendrix Experience (museum), or try your hand throwing salmon at the world-famous Pike’s Place Market.

Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain/Nirvana Pearl Jam, and Dr. Frasier Crane grew up in Seattle. The city is also known as America’s coffee capital as both “Starbucks’ Seattle’s Best Coffee” and “Tully’s Coffee” were founded here.  We eat dinner at a good fish restaurant at Seattle’s Waterfront.

Many Scandinavian immigrants live in Seattle. The Ballard district, a little north of the city center, is also the “Nordic Heritage Museum” which claims to be the only US museum devoted to Scandinavian immigration history. Seattle is Bergen’s (Norway) friendship city, naturally, since Seattle is also called “Rain City”.

Day 3: Seattle - Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada

(Driving day 1: 229 km/143 miles)

We begin our Magical Canada tour! When everyone is ready on their bikes, we embark on our 3.000 km/1.800 miles long journey in the beautiful Canadian Rockies & National Parks. Seattle disappears behind us as we head north for a unique adventure full of adventure & fun. The tour begins with a ride along Puget Sound.

We ride Hwy 9 to exciting Vancouver, the jewel of western Canada. The city is dotted lavishly with greenery, posed against the rugged peaks of the perpetually blue Coast Range and ringed with sparkling Pacific waters. Vancouver’s character is West Coast with a liberal Oriental essence. It is the financial, industrial, shipping and cultural center of Canada’s west coast. The city has much that is reminiscent of other parts of Canada and much of Europe as well as the Orient and the US. The resulting blend is happy, carefree and relaxed.

4

Day 4: Vancouver - Kamloops, British Colombia, Canada

(Driving day 2: 420 km/216 miles)

We head north for a spectacular ride on Hwy 99 toward Kamloops. We ride through the majestic mountains rising in the distance as we make our way to our home for the night in Kamloops, B.C. where we will enjoy some Canadian hospitality.

5

Day 5: Kamloops - Jasper, Alberta, Canada

(Driving day 3: 441 km/274 miles)

Today we head towards Alberta and the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Our ride will take us along the North Thompson River on the beautiful Yellowhead Highway. There is a good chance of seeing eagles, deer, and moose along this stretch, as well as stopping to take in the stunning waterfalls near Clearwater.

We will also enter Mt. Robson Provincial Park for a stunning view of the 5000’ Emperor Face on Mt. Robson. From here, our ride will take us to the heart of Jasper National Forest and the great mountain village of Jasper, Alberta. Jasper holds a special place in our hearts as it marks the beginning of Canada’s amazing Route 93, or Icefield Highway, that runs from Jasper to the breathtaking lakeside village of Lake Louise, Alberta.

6

Day 6: Jasper - Banff/Canmore, Alberta, Canada

(Driving day 4: 314 km/195 miles)

Get ready for a highway ride that we definitely rank among the top ten motorcycle rides in North America.
Canada’s Highway 93 (Iceland Highway), also known as the Banff – Jasper Highway, takes us along glacial peaks and across some of Canada’s most stunning ice fields. Today promises to be one of the great riding days of your life, guaranteed! Tonight we enjoy the vibrant Rocky Mountain village of Canmore, Alberta, known for friendly people and
good food.

7

Day 7: Banff, Alberta, Canada

(Explorer & fun day)

A day to do two tours, one by gondola to the mountain top (optional) and another by bike to Lake Minnewanka and then walk a bit through Banff, this charming town of Canadian Rockies.

8

Day 8: Canmore/Banff - Waterton Lake, Alberta, Canada

(Driving day 5: 348 km/217 miles)

Today we drive to another incredible destination. We ride over the stunning Kananaskis Pass where you are likely to see Big Horn sheep wandering along the road. We stop in the Olympic town of Calgary before we head to Waterton Lakes National Park for the night. Waterton is on the Canadian side of Glacier National Park, one of the most visually stunning places in North America. In Waterton, we will enjoy a quiet, serene afternoon and evening on the glassy waters of a crystal clear lake. It is hard not to feel as if you are becoming a part of this place. Soak it in. This is what life is all about.

9

Day 9: Waterton Lake - Kalispell, Alberta, Canada

(Driving day 6: 269 km/167 miles)

What better way to spend the day than with a ride through the amazing vistas of Glacier National Park? Glacier, the nation’s 10th National Park, is known for its deep glacial valleys and rugged peaks. For motorcycle enthusiasts, it is simply an assault on the senses and offers some excellent riding terrain on one of the National Park’s oldest, historical roads – the Going to the Sun Road!

10

Day 10: Kalispell - Spokane, Wa, USA

(Driving day 7: 425 km/264 miles)

As we leave the stateside Glacier National Park, we turn our bikes southeast and explore more of Washington state. We will stick to the two-lane roads, passing by lakeshores and through the cattle country that defines this area.

11

Day 11: Spokane, Seattle, Wa, USA

(Driving day 8: 475 km/295 miles)

Our Canadian fairytale is approaching an end as we embark on our last tour day. We will enjoy a great ride on Hwy 2 before we will be amazed by the Spectacularly beautiful Okanogan-Wenatchee National Park. Thereafter, we head straight to Seattle, where we return the bikes, take off our boots and replace driving gear with light summer clothing. We spend the afternoon in the vicinity of the hotel, where we also have a farewell dinner together and get ready for the journey home.
